You may have seen us out at the Winnie Palmer Nature Reserve near St. Vincent in Latrobe, PA. Trails are scraped and re-graded and then dusted with a fresh layer of stone dust. Adjustments are being made to discourage runoff water from the route 30 corridor from washing out the trails during heavy rains. This place is truly a second home to us and the work is a labor of love. We have been fortunate to have been involved in the transition of the reserve from old farm fields to a natural wonderland. Visit the barn and say hello to Angela the director and her friendly and knowledgeable staff. Go for a stroll on the miles of trails through wildflowers, wetlands, woodlands and thickets, or visit the children’s garden near the front entrance. WPNR provides numerous educational events for all ages! Its well worth the stop!
